Chasing gremlins in my Dodge. Suspect a fuel starvation issue. I disconnected my lines to the carb, and can pump about 1 and a quarter gallon per minute. That seems a bit light to me. 750 horse single dominator on gas.tia

1-1/4 gallons per minute is 75 gallons per hour. That should be enough fuel for 1500 hp. I don't know how strong your car is.

But with the lines disconnected the pump's basically at zero pressure... how much can you pump at operating fuel pressure (6 psi?) That will be less, the question is - how much less work

Went back and found a post from on here years ago regards this topic.
A 9 sec car should need a gallon every 20 seconds.
A 10 sec car a gallon every 25 seconds.

Exactly.
I don't care what the unrestricted free flow is.
I only care what the flow is with the complete system maintaining what I feel is the lowest operating pressure I could live with at the carb(about 5psi).

Think I found my problem. The anti roll over valve in the fuel cell wasn't allowing any air through. Had a pretty good vacuum after pumping a gallon of fuel. Installing a better vent tomorrow.

Never thought about the rollover valve being a problem. I chased a fuel problem for some time. Still never quite got the tune down just right with my car. Something to investigate!

Aluminum fuel cell, Holly 150 pump, 1/2 inch line, and Mallory regulator. Car has made a couple easy 9.90 passes, should do a couple of tenths better.

I have the hp 150. Have screen type filters on suction side, not too fine of mesh, more too keep crap out of the pump. Have another filter ahead of carb. 330, I'm crimping your 5/16 line till you're back in the thirteen's where you belong.

What MPH when running 9.90 ? MPH will be what changes the most with a fuel problem like you have.
