UPDATE-Finally got the opportunity to try this change and the preliminary results are mostly encouraging. I removed a team G single plane manifold with a Bill Mitchell Hardcore 750 that I believe was pretty well set up. I installed an Edelbrock Super Victor manifold with the previously mentioned 1050 that had been worked on by Thumperdart. I have to say that I have never seen a carb that seemed to be this close to right out of the box. I set it up based on info from Thumperdart, the man seems to know his stuff. Out of the box, allowing for weather data, the car picked up .06-.08 (1/8 mile) and almost 1 MPH. Incremental numbers led me to believe the car wanted more starting line rpm, I bumped the launch chip 600 rpm, the car launched much harder, picked up.04 in 60 ft., however turned right and forced me to abort the run. Some suspension adjustment will be needed from here. Keep in mind this was a T&T night at my local track, normally an excellent racing surface, but still it was a T&T. The crowd was huge and it wasn't (at least in my mind) practical to do anything further that night.Plug color looks close to optimim, car starts and idles well, over all pretty happy so far. Should be more improvement available with a little more tweaking. That`s the news I live for and know there's more there for sure...........

The carb WASN'T the issues you were having unfortunately but at least it`s back in service and it sounds like you guys found some fixable power......... Never said I had a issue with the Carb
