I am trying to restore a couple of 70 hp 440 motors and am short a few bolts The original ones are 5/16 and a little longer that a motor that does not have a windage tray. They have a number "23" on the head. Is there a source for those? What about the new one you can get from Ma Mopar/ I have not looked at the head but I know they are the longer version. They also have a nylon spot on the threads for locking I suppose.

These are 5/16" from 1997.

Those pics help. The new ones have the wrong markings on the top as I suspected. I dug through about 4 buckets of bolts looking for several nuts that I needed and found a stash of the correct "23" marked bolts that were the longer version. Now for the big question. Were all of the oil pan bolts the same? The reason I asked is because this 70 hp motor that I am building for my Charger was taken apart and had a cam, piston, and intake change. Some of the bolts were not correct. Three oil pan bolts were missing, but in their place I found some just a tad longer. Were they used in the back were the rear main seal cap was installed? Does any one know this one?
