I was thinking of picking up one of the G-Tech 240 Performance Meters that measures, 0-60, quarter mile, 60 foot, 1/8 mile, horsepower, torque. etc. Thinking of using it for tuning and experimentation mostly.
Anyone have any experience with these, good or bad?

When I worked at summit on there Tech line they gave us one to try out.. Sooooo I found a nice straight road and tried it out.. Now I ran the car at the track a knew what it would run and that little meter was only a half a 1/10 off. I had a blast with it.. so yes I have one now...

i was using one & compared it to the track times & surprisingly it was very close. unfortunately once i fitted a transbrake the Gtech kept falling off the screen every time i launched.

Hmm, sounds pretty good. Especially considering the closest track is almost 2.5 hours away.

Performance Measurements include:

- 0-60 MPH
- Other Speed Tests (0-10 MPH through 0-100 MPH in 10MPH increments)
- Quarter Mile Elapsed Time
- Quarter Mile Trap Speed
- Elapsed Time and Trap Speed for standard intervals (60', 330', 1/8 Mi, 1000')
- Lateral G's (current and peak)
- Braking G's (current and peak)
- Horsepower
- Estimated Engine Horsepower.

Don't know how really good this is? Might just be BS because of competition. Something else to look at maybe?

they rock, but do encourage very illegal driving on the streets, that why mine is hardly ever in a car.....

Take care,

Resurrecting this post from the past. Any recent experience using a G-Tech / Pro SS performance meter? I've known about them for a long time, but never used one. Are they accurate and easy to use, worth the money?

I tried to download the dynolicous iphone app, but I am thinking it does not work with the newer iphones since 2008, and is not currently available through the iphone app store.

Dynolicious still works on my iPhone 4s, which is from 2011.
But the creators of the App seemed to have taken it offline for download.

Maybe you can locate a 'stray' API of the app somewhere so you can install it manually through iTunes...
