That will really depend on you. The black and orange seals both work just fine. I will go as far to say that as long as the stock seal retainer is not damaged it works as well as any seal retainer. Pay attention to the alignment of the top and bottom seal by lining them up without the crank in. Once you have them perfect, scribe a reference line across the bottom of the seal retainer and block. Now when you install the crank you know what position to torque the retainer because there is some play that can cock the seal if no reference line is scribed.
