I have a '69 Coronet 500 with drum brakes. I'm needing some upper control arms. Hard to find clean undamaged ones around here so I'm thinking about these. The description states 'for larger ball joint only'. My question is, does my car with drum brakes have the 'larger' ball joint?

Thanks for the reply. I 'thought' it did but then doubted myself because the car has drums on the front.

A bodies with 9" drums had small ball joints. B bodies all had the next size larger, a bodies with bigger brakes had the same size.

C bodies and trucks were bigger yet.

I would be suspect of the bushings and joints those arms come with. Moog ball joints cost half as much as what they're asking for the entire thing.

There a lots of choices for UCA's these days which is nice to see. Re-pop stamped arms and many flavors of tubular arms.

If you want a clean used set from a '70 E California car send a PM. Ball joints and bushings are removed. I replaced them with FF tubular pieces. For a good home I would not need much more than shipping.

I'm sure they aren't the highest quality. Hopefully they are better than the 45+ year old parts on it now.

I had already purchased Moog ball joints and poly bushings. Then the mechanic tears it down and found the arms are shot.

I guess I could put the good parts in the new arms.

I wish I had known you had those as I had already purchased Moog ball joints and poly bushings. However I ordered the new arms a day or 2 ago and they have already shipped. If I don't like them for some reason I'll check back with you.

Thanks for the offer,
Dallas
