I changed the steering head off my 70 satellite. Originally was column shift with after market steering wheel with tha adapter kit. Recently I changed the column shift head on the column to a floor shift column. Now the steering wheel is not going far enough down to disengage the turn signal. Is there a difference in size between floor shifter column head and the regular? HELP

The top end of the column is e same. The problem is in the changes you made.

A different way to view this problem is that the turn signal switch is too far away from the steering wheel.

Did the pin or button fall out of the wheel adapter? On some adapters, there are 2 pin locations, and the adapter can be clocked in more then one direction. Its possible you have the adapter clocked in a different position then it was originally. Gene

Yeah it sounds like the bottom part slide down.

There is no difference in shaft length or other parts between column shift and floor shift
