I got this grille that is technically NOS, but it has overspray all over it, so I will need to paint it.

Not counting the black section that is not painted, it is two colors: silver that I assume is the same Argent as other grilles of that era, and a darker color that appears to be Charcoal or something similar.

I must assume they used colors that were common to other car lines, including muscle cars, of that era. Can someone point me to the correct darker color?

Thank you!

Does the light color have a texture to it or just the dark? The dark looks like dark argent. Try Totally Auto for that. It's not an exact match. Some people have had better luck with a Krylon textured paint. I'm not sure what the name of it was. Maybe do a search for Krylon argent paint.

On my 73 Challenger grill, I used non textured rallye wheel paint for the light silver outer lip.

They both seem to have equal texture.

Thanks for the info!

There are both light and dark argent paints. If the light color has a texture to it, get both shades from Totally Auto or try to find the Krylon paints. I think I remember there being four different shades of the Krylon paint.

Here are a few threads I found that talk about the Krylon paint.
