Im assembling a semi stck 340 with a Mopar Perf Hydrallic cam kit, there are two different lifters in this kit some have a wide oil groove and bleeder hole about 3/4s to the top, and 3 others have a thinner groove with the bleeder 7/8 to the top.

I was under the impression that the oil bleeder more toward the top of the lifter is for big block applications and the other is for small block. Should i just run them or ??? is there going to be a pump up issue.

We see this in a lot of the lifters coming out of Mexico and other "foreign" places. 90% of them will work in small block or big block engines. Just make sure the oil groove and bleeder holes stay down in the lifter bores and you should be fine. You want to make sure they all have the same effective length. That is to say, from the bottom of the insuide cup to the bottom of the lifter. This can vary from lifter to lifter and can screw you up. Your best bet is to get a new set of Johnson lifters made in the U.S.A. (like we sell) then you knwo they are right.
