Scuff plate extensions install? #2137911

68 GTX scuff plate extensions. I have a hole on one end and open U shape on the other end. I know where it goes but not exactly how it screws in what goes where. Any picture or help appreciated. Its almost done!!!

the U shape tucks under the sill plate as pictured above and is held there by the sill plate screw. there will be a hole corresponding by the back seat which you may have covered with carpet.

I did cover it and I was not sure if the U went towards the front or not? I got 1 side in looks good.

i remember thinking back in the day when i installed mine how nice it looked. a surprising small piece of trim makes it look complete! up

Install them on the correct side. The one in the photo doesn't look right - maybe its just the angle - but I think the fit is better than that.

The one in the photo is correct, the open "U" shaped end goes under the main door sill plate
