My wife and I are getting transferred to the Seattle area for work. 3 year contract. Moving in October and I'm pretty excited. Which dragstrips out of the 5 are the best? Best to worst. I haven't race on the Walla Walla or Yakima tracks yet Bremerton is old school and good, same thing on Spokane Pacific is good also If you want to travel to Mission, B.C. Canada it is good to, really fast also

Bremerton and Yakima both have a good "grass-roots" feel to them and really cater to the sportsman racer. Not too far to the south lies Woodburn, OR. (3 hr drive, just south of Portland), which is a great track with a solid scene. Make a point of getting down there when you can, you won't regret it. I've never raced at Spokane, but is a 4+ hr. drive from the Seattle area. Pacific is a great facility, and is clearly the top option if you live in the greater Seattle area. You'll have options.
Congrats on the move, and welcome to the Northwest!

6 closest tracks in relationship to Seattle. Pacific Raceways http://pacificraceways.com/Best/Largest facility, also closest to Seattle, hard to go wrong here. Bremerton Raceway http://bremertonraceway.com/Old Airport, limited amenities (no running water), laid back family atmosphere. Mission BC http://missionraceway.com/Good track just over the Canadian border, good facilities and people. Exchange rate currently makes this a good trip for someone feeling touristy Yakima http://renegaderaceway.com/Similar in feel to Bremerton, laid back, family, small track atmosphere. Portland (1/8th) http://portlandraceway.com/Technically a city park, 1/8th mile on the straightaway of the road course. Very nice place, they typically only drag race Wednesday and Friday nights with limited track prep and there are noise restrictions here. Woodburn http://www.woodburndragstrip.com/Just south of Portland, good track and facilities. Being more southern it tends to be warmer than the Seattle/ Portland metro areas. Pacific is #1 Woodburn and Mission tie for 2nd Bremerton and Yakima tie for 4th Portland 6th due to schedule, hard for people who work M-F in Seattle to ever make it there.

There is another track on the "Wet Side" down in Toutle. It is only a 1/8 mile run and it is called Riverdale Raceway. They have a Facebook page and seem like a fun place to go. This weekend they are having a two-day race.

If you go to Yakima goatheads are a real problem. The track promoter doesn't seem to give a rip when it comes to the locals racing. The restrooms are third world, wife went with me one time and said she would never go back. The track surface is a crap shoot. Most of the time the starting line is not well prepped.
Seattle, rainouts are a problem. Once they have your money, oh well You get a raincheck however if you are not a regular local racing, well you see my point. Oh, and they have a noise curfew.
Bremerton, well the rain is the issue. Good track with lots of pit space
Woodburn, well maintained track, good facilities, family friendly and it's in a part of Oregon where it doesn't rain all that much. In the summer it can get a bit hot and humid. check out the Mopar Nationals at Woodburn, usually in July
Given a choice, Woodburn then Bremerton
Oh, lived in Yakima for over 40 years
