Thx guys another question. I have part 2926 919 and I am thinking it's not the right motor now. This motor is a 3 spd one and I was playing with the switch on the dash and it doesn't have speed detents that I was expecting. The switch rotates smoothly which makes me think it was originally a variable speed wiper motor. Did 1971 RR come with variable speed motors as standard equipment, the part catalog call out part 3431 077. Do they put part numbers on the wiper switches? This is my first Mopar so I am not familiar with these cars.
thx for any help here.

A 71 RR comes with a 2 speed wiper unless it has a 3 speed. 3 speed is kind of a misnomer.

The 2 speed switch has three positions - Off - Low - High

The 3 speed switch has 3+ positions - Off - Low - Medium - Variable. The variable part is not a detent but a range.

As far as variable vs 3sp the motors are the same the function is controlled by the switch.
The 3431077 would be the right P/N for the wiper motor. The switch with out ralley dash is 3488073 and with a ralley dash is 3488043 they are both variable.

I also restore wiper motors and do have some stock already done and ready to ship. Been doing them for 20+ years
I'm in Socal
