OK, anybody had any "pot metal" trim restored? If so, who did it and how was the job? I'm looking at getting the front emblem above the grilles on a 41 Dodge re-plated. The last one I tried desintegrated when they tried to strip it, but I have another. Any leads appreciated.

No personal experiences but I know there are guys that advertise in Hemmings Motor News that offer that service.

Yup,
One of those desintegrated the last one, I'm trying to find someone who knows what someone can do. Kind of hard to go out and just pick up parts for a 68 year old car.

Try Nashville Plating, in Nashville Tn. They're very expensive, but also, very good. You can find em at yellowpages.com. Good luck.
