Nice Tony. Mine's only 49" long and heavier than yours! Girls dig it! Hope you get over to Gville this year, maybe I'll get my junk going in time. I'm removing the EFI and sticking a carb on it to run the NMCA race in Bradenton in late March. Looks nice

Are you running Weld wheels? If so, they already have 5/8" stud holes and may only require a little touch-up.
the wheels clear fine it's the hat that holds the rotor thats the problem.

I forgot I have 5/8" rear studs so now I have to find somebody that can drill them out. I have a drill press but don't feel confident I can center them.
You mean to tell me after the 2,687 8 3/4's you have broken, and after working at Ford Motor Co for 127 years building 9" rears, you have never done this or have the tools to do it?

the shaft is 6061 aluminum, I was going to go with chrome moly but after talking with the guys at dynotech at PRI they talked me into this. both joints are 1350s. the slip yoke and joints came with the shaft. way over kill for what I will be doing. motor is a stock stroke 360 .030 over stock crank eagle rods, probe flat tops, 308R comp street roller, 575 lift, 262@50, indy 360-1s fully ported by Dwayne, 1050 dominator, 11.5-1 CR.

don't have the tools, a while back I got rid of everything racing, even tools and just started getting everything back about 10 years ago.

Thankxx Quick but trust me, I can`t cut a consistent light to save my a$$. I go from .501`s to .750`s............et chasing it is for me.
all in practice my friend, get yourself a practice tree and work on it. it's a lot more fun being able to compete and have a chance.

Quicktree has a Dana in one of his own cars , did he finally see the light or just gone broke buying them good nine inch Ford racing rear end parts Tell me it isn't so Bro I'm glad you seen and heard the light, go to the light (I wonder how long this post will last this time )
it's all good cab, but it's funny you mentioned it again because when I was measuring the studs to drill the rotor hats I heard a noise in the dana. this car was built many years ago and the guy didn't put any gear oil in the dana, when I pulled the cover there was lots of rust. I cleaned it up the best I could. the bearings had what looked like surface rust. after cleaning I filled it with regular oil and put the cover back on. it turned free, I was messing with it last night and heard a clunk, now it stops like something is stuck in the gears. so I guess I'll pull the cover back off and see whats up. I guess I am the only person on earth that can destroy a dana and never leave the garage you can bet if there is some kind of damage from the rust that will reqire a lot of money I will replace the dana with an aftermarket 9" based race rear. not another old ford truck part.....
