I am trying to find information on how to install relays into your stock headlight wiring. This this increases voltage to the headlights by bypassing the stock headlight switch and routing power from the battery right to the headlights. resulting in brighter headlights. Has anyone done this? Information?

You could probably use the high and low wires as relay trigger wires. Run the power from the battery through a 20amp fuse to the lamps. All work done at front of the car near the lamps. I did a 69 Barracuda for a customer, but we replaced the intire harness with an EZ brand harness. And that was about 4 years ago so my memory has faded.

Worse place you could choose as the power source.

Tap off the alternator output stud.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

As stated, use the stock wiring to head lights as the trigger, I pulled power from the starter relay. I also did the running lights.

This is a great upgrade. For less than $20 you get brighter headlights and protect your wiring harness and switch. I have done this a dozen times or more.

The relays are available at all auto parts stores. Use the one that is pictured in the video above because it has the mounting tab made on it. You do not use the middle spade, only the 4 outside ones. The starter relay is the power source that I use due to it's convenient location.

There are other videos on UTube if you need more reference material. And I think there are other threads here on Moparts on this subject with even more info. If you have anymore questions, just ask.

Master, again and still

There is a person that makes custom headlight relay harnesses for your application named Crackedback. Lots of excellent reviews. I think he has a listing on Moparts, but here is his listing on A bodies only.

Agreed, feeds em right from the (power) source/increases brightness from less voltage drop (which is your intended purpose)/takes load off of the bulkhead/keeps the ammeter honest. as said trigger em with the hi/lo beam wires
