I would talk to Todd Marsh. He's the 572-13 Guru.

Gonna rev to da moon and do it before you know it. I know this cause the first time I had my 500" KOS Demon (didn't have any rev limiter pills in the MSD) in the waterbox, being used to a little 416, I mashed it and didn't even look at the tach. Dude that runs you up at the line eyes went full open round. I looked next time and saw 9300-9400 IMMEDIATELY. 4.50 bore x 3.85 stroke with B1 heads that flow a ton. That was on the motor. Mike used to shift it at 8800. Car went 6.32 @ 111 at 3250# on the motor with a big NOS cam and about 16-1 on C-16. Had a ton of torque which came in handy cause I also found out that a SCS Cheetah will do a 1-2 shift right from the hit if you are holding the shifter when you let the TB off.

Better put in good wrist pins, mine paper clipped at that RPM. I replaced the alum rods with steel and lowered the CR. Still have that 3.85 crank in it. Should run like a small block.
