How can you identify a 1966 B-Body steering column? Does anyone have any pictures and will any other years/ models interchange? (FYI: '66 Plymouth Satellite, Auto on the floor)

A steering column came with my project car but it is disassembled and didnt have a '66 steering wheel. Before restoring it, I would like to know if it is correct or if it will work.

Thanks.

Here is a shot of a column out of a
1966 Coronete 500 Floor shift auto.
The coupler is missing and the wheel itself is currently employed in my van.
Hope this helps if you need more info let me know.

Thanks. Do you have a close up of wiring connector? Hard to tell if mine looks like that.

For restoration:
-What is the correct black to use? (gloss, semi-gloss)
-What color should the shaft be?
-What color should the coupler be?
-Are rebuild kits available?

66-69 connectors should all be the same. 66 column will not have the collapseable area as 67-69's

the only wiring in there are the turn signals and the horn. I think there is supposed to be a ground
from the column to the dash. just a small wire with round through type contacts at both ends.

I just finished putting my column in my 66 Dart. You have the same column as mine but your wiring may be different. Have you taken it apart? One thing I did was eleminate the coupler and installed a Flamming River joint. I also replaced the lower bearing support with a bearing and sleeve from the local bearing shop. far better setup than that factory plastic piece. Do you have manual or power steering? The steering columun

Power Steering
I wasnt the one who took it apart (thus the main reason for the questions).
Good suggestions. Was anything else necessary to rebuild the column?
