You can do a quick and simple plumb bob measurement from the leaf spring inside edge, the inner wheel house and the rim mounting surface. The spring and wheel house will tell you the max width and the wheel mounting surface will tell you the backspace. I just make marks on the floor and then measure with a ruller. Most all tire manufacturer's have a chart listing the best rim width for their tire sizes. You can find them on the web. You need to leave a minimum of 1/2" on both sides of the tires for clearance.

I have them on 15x8's with 4.5 bs. It gave me 1/2" - 3/4" gap between the tire and springs. -Eric
