Ok, I have always wanted to build a sweptline crew cab build. I have even owned one prior to retiring and moving 500 miles, which I sold. Now Im retired and have been looking recently.

So I am going to look at a 68-71 crew cab( no title) and a short bed/ uteline bed/ stepside soon. Its all parts, no chassis.

That said I wanted to build a cummins rig but now have two cummins trucks an 2005 and 2012 and really dont need a cummins. And since many of these have been done I have kinda lost the interest.

2x4 or 4x4?

That said I may still consider a cummins build but thats always expensive compared to a gas truck and now that the 1990s gas trucks are cheap, is that a good/ easier build?

Just bouncing ideas around. I will check wheel bases next, ect but since I do my own body/ paint, that part does not worry me, its the drivetrain/ chassis portion, which Im not as good at.

Looking for ideas
