vinnyd76 OP pro stock V Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 1,565 Macomb, MI	I have a 7 1/4 rear axle out of a 70 A-Body. What components/hardware from the 7 1/4 axle assembly can be transferred to 8 3/4? The 7 1/4 rear axle has 9-inch drums and the 8 3/4 will have 10-inch drums, so the drums and shoes will out along with backing plates. Axle half shafts? U-bolts that attach the leaf springs to the axle? Park brake cable? I'm planning to stay with the 4-inch bolt pattern (drum brake setup) with the 8 3/4 axle assembly. Skeptic master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 4,395 The Pale Blue Dot	When I swapped out the 7-1/4 out of my 68 Barracuda for a later 8-3/4 the PB cables were not the same. The 8-3/4 was in a Pick u Part and years ago, IIRC it was a 72 Demon.
