Just looking for input before I spend money. Anyone out there running the 2893 Edelbrock Super Victor intake on their -1 deal. We have a 446 with a small roller on E85 in our dragster now. Just looking for input on what others opinions are of this intake. Have not seen one in person but and interested in maybe swapping out the Indy intake we have for one to see if there is anything there.

Some years back when Mopar Muscle had an engine shootout that required stock-stroke RB 440s and Indy SR heads, the best performing engines that didn't run a tunnel ram used Super Victors, not the available ICH intakes.

I'm using one on Stage 6 heads. Mainly because it's MW & fitted my B block. As cast they have a similar plenum to my Indy manifold that went to a porter with a flow bench.

Super Victor works the best for me with MW ports. I tested back and forth with 440-2, 440-3 and 3X intakes.

I wasn't a big fan of the cloverleaf plenum so I sent the intake to Wilson and they redid it.

The plenum design on my Super Victor is different to the one Andy posted. They must have had a design change along the way. I've since cut the clover leaf off mine too but i'm not sure about the runner dividers running into the plenum.

The pictures make the intake look shorter then the Indy. How tall is the Super Victor?

Andy posted an "after" pic of the Wilson modifications; yours shows the "before".

So Wilson added material to the dividers?

Were there before and after flow tests on the Wilson modifications?

Weird how Wilson ADDED length to the runner dividers on the Super Victor but everyone says to cut them back on the Indy 440-3 manifolds.

Not a cloverleaf fan myself and we generally remove that area as well. Like what Wilson did as well. Maybe I will just pull the trigger and see what we get. The Indy intake we did not do much to it at all. So maybe an apples to apples comparison.

That's no fun Dave. Want to see how fast we can make a 440 go here in Vegas. Ordering the correct converter for it today. Has an old one from the Cuda that is KILLING the ET. Thing sounds Ill coming out of the hole and drops 2900rpm on the shift...D'oh. Maybe we can get an 8.0 out of her yet here in Vegas smile

But yeah Steven definitely wants to put one of the better/bigger engines in it.

you're not wrong there. my Indy manifold with the stock plenum used to foul plugs when i was idling in the staging lanes. The porter with the flow bench cut them back to produce something similar to the Super Victor. My Indy manifold works so much better after that change.
