Get as wide as you can get, at least 7 ft. F or ease of getting in/out of the car, get one with removal driver's side fender too.
I recommend a 18 x 7 trailer with removable driver's side fender and solid deck. Get one with a 4-ft. dovetail and something with 4-5 ft. ramps (longer is better to reduce the angle). I would get a metal deck as the wood rots out, but that is a personal preference.
Don't forget to get a spare tire/mount on it too. Make sure it has a provision for a winch.

My trailer is 77 across the inside of the fenders. That will fit most cars (including C bodies) with close to factory wheel size, and as long as the wider wheels are in back that is still good. Older pickups will fit as well, but it is close, with the wheel width being critical. It is important that the door will clear the top of the fender with you in the car, so you can get out or in without smacking the door. Also a dovetail is helpful on low clearance cars. 18 ft of bed length works well so you position the car for proper weight on the tongue. Don't forget to have multiple tie down points.

These are all WIDE cars, and if you run aftermarket wheels you'll be surprised how little room is left when the car is loaded. You'll probably want to add a winch eventually so you can load by yourself so you won't chew up your tires on the fenders. My old trailer is 77" between fenders, I had to remove my road race slicks to load the car, a pain in the butt!

It would be nice if someone started building single axle car trailers. I don't know about the US but in Canada all tandem axle trailers are required to have annual inspections - which cost about $100.. Yep, yearly inspection and 4 wheel brakes here as well.

I got home last night from a road trip and just now saw your post. I have a JB Enterprises tilt bed trailer, it's been a great trailer for me. Made in Elkhart...where else! Mine was used when I bought it and is steel. I pull mine with a huge 500hp frieghtliner toterhome and beat the hell out of it. I do cruise at the speed limit all over the country which means I don't tow slow...at the speed limit because I have the tow vehicle to do it. Love, love, love the tilt bed, love it!! Ours does not have hydraulics(don't need it). It is so easy to pull onto my wife does it half the time while we are on vacations. It's plenty wide and 18' long. BTW yours does not have a "beaver tail" because it's a tilt bed just like ours and my last enclosed was a flat floor trailer=no beaver tail.(it's best IMO, flat floor) We have had the freightliner since 2002, we tow about 15-20K miles per year. I have had the tilt bed open trailer for 8 years and it has over 110K miles on it now, it was used when I bought it. Not one problem, not even a flat tire in all those miles. Just came back from Maine last night, another 2000 miles put on our trailer in the past 9 days. I just measured it and it has 80" between the removable fenders, I have never taken off the fenders except to paint or service the trailer brakes. They cleared everything I have hauled so far. It has 3 6X2" steel rectangular tubes for the tongue/frame, I have never seen another one heavier. Good thing I use a big truck to pull it I know. Sitting in my driveway right now waiting for me to unload, simple as removing 4 tie downs and backing it off the trailer, like I said it could not be easier or safer. Bed goes up down real easy and controlled, balanced just right it seems. Back in April this year camping in a KOA in NC on the "outer banks" took our durango so we could cruise the beaches off road. Never touch or have to lift/lose a ramp ever, so easy the wife does not mind pulling on or off the trailer. We generally park on our trailer each night, that way we would know if someone was stealing our "dingy" because the trailer usually stays attached to the toterhome that we sleep in. It takes seconds to pull onto or off the trailer not minutes winching it on. Yours is hydraulic because you have the weight of the tool box and winch on the front. I have to remove the bikes from the carrier at least that sits in the 2" pocket in the bed before unloading the car on mine. The 2" pocket in the bed is for a winch mainly I believe. I would rather have the bike carrier on the tongue instead of the bed, never got around to changing it. What size tires does yours have? Wonder what your trailer weighs MT. What's it gonna weigh full, with that tool box full? My trailer is at max capacity with the durango on it with no winch or tools=7000 lbs. Enjoy your new trailer, we enjoy ours.

I can buy a decent 24' enclosed for the price of that one! I researched 24' enclosed trailers. The build quality of the enclosed ones i looked at in the 5-6.5k range was absolute junk. i also looked at plain jane tilt trailers with no extras for $3800.00 or so. for all the extras and quality components I think I got a good deal. I needed something now and i think it will be great for the 2-3 years I'll use it before I can afford a nice decked out enclosed..
