I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Gardner exhaust,I attended the Barrett Jackson auction this past Thursday through Saturday and ended up sitting next to the son who owns the business with his father. He sounded like he really new exhaust systems and was actually pointing out cars in the auction brochure that had the wrong systems,ie missing resonators, wrong bends etc.He told me that all of there systems come with the correct markings, part numbers and date codes.I believe the are in NY.

I have purchased five different exhaust systems from them.

Two were for 69-72 big block Corvettes. Both went through judging at NCRS - got only minimal deductions that could not be helped.

I have their system on my 67 327/350 coupe and put one on a 70 LS6 Chevelle for a customer/friend.

I also put there system on my current 70 Challenger (440 sixpack).
I think it is a great exhaust system.
They sell the really correct hangers and clamps
All the systems fit perfectly for me - gave me zero issues putting together.
The resonators that I received (nearly 5 years ago) did not have the date/pentastar, but the mufflers did have dates and the correct flats in the side.

The Gardner price was not on the cheap side. But in my opinion - worth every bit.

Accurate was several hundred dollars less - but the systems are not the same.

The most EXACT and most expensive system comes from dave at ECS.
but I think you would spend like $2,000 ++ for the whole thing.

Got me a NEW Project
1970 GTX 440+6, 4 spd, 4.10 Dana and N96 FE5 (top/bottom) and black bucket interior.
Original transmission and Dana - Engine is a service replacement block.

Body has all stamped #s + VIN/TRIM tag and door sticker. Been hunting like all hell to find the Build Sheet.

garage find, only had 41,850 miles on ODO.

On another forum Dave Walden posted that his systems were comparable in price if not less expensive than Gardner's prices

that may be the case now.

I just remember what Dave's prices were when the system first came out.
Now maybe he has lowered it some to make it priced inline with others.

I just kinda think it was around $500 more the Eric's system.

But one thing for sure --- Dave has got it when it comes to being an EXACT, virtually perfect reproduction of a factory system.
If his was available when I was needing the system, I would have purchased his.
Only because I am crazy nuts for correct details.

Gardner is the major GM exhaust outfit when it comes to accuracy, and highly regarded in GM circles.
