hustlin hoosier OP member H Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 174	The nmca 10.5 mph record was almost broke by a mopar. The record was set this April in Atlanta by Mike Demayo in 700 foot air. A mopar went 170.56 mph in Indy this week in 4000 ft air 95 degrees. Demayo's record is 170.70 Last edited by hustlin hoosier; 06/26/16 11:55 PM.

His Mustang, although on the qualifying sheet it showed a 540 Ford rather than the 565 Mopar....For some reason they don't list NMCA West records, guess we don't count. We have had cars over 171 hmmm.. We are bringing the red car to Chicago and Norwalk. Guess we will see how the little small block stacks up back east. My guess is the rules package is different out here which I believe is BS. But it was don't to pander to the BB cars that were out here already. The BB guys are ligter than they are out East. Been a pile of 171+ runs at SCSN over the past few years. Randy Jones has been 170+ with his SB 5 speed car. You also know the weather conditions we run in out here. DA over 4000' is common in Fontana and of course Vegas is at 2200'. We had one car go out to Indy last year. New trans, converter, engine combo, more suspension changes, and new Paint Only have been able to put 11 passes on it so far but we are getting there. These things definitely take some time to get everything working together. We don't have the budget that many of the east coast guys do but we are determined to run out there too. Sad because there will be a few that go to the NMCA event instead of MMW.
