Is there a need or benefit for a mono leaf cal trac car to have any rake? I just changed the back halfs on my monos and my car is sitting pretty much level now. It has about 1/4" rake with the back being higher than the front.

Thanks

Should make for better weight transfer.

If you have big torque the assend up a bit helps
but if your lower torque you would like that and the
engine sitting higher... makes for easier transfer..
and depends on the weight ratio front to rear
wave

If the back is higher it takes more torque to get
the front above the CG
wave

As said the lower rear can help the car hook better. Gets the weight over the rear tires more. Myself I have my car the way I like it. I like the Nostalgia look with just a tiny rake with the rear a tad higher. But thats just my taste as thats what I like as I dont care for the slammed down look on the 60's muscle cars since its not the Nostalgia look I like alot. But its your car so you have to have it how you like it. It sounds like it sits real nice right now. Sitting level or a tad higher in the back is how most bracket cars seem to sit. I would leave it as is if your happy with it and try it at the track. Ron

Thanks guys, I'm going to have to go back to what I had. The tires won't come off and the shocks don't have much room to compress. I went 1.38 with the old springs so I'm sure with the new shocks they will work fine.
