looking at my car after i took it out to irwindale on thursday and it looked like it was sitting sideways.
so i checked tire pressure set fronts to 40 psi and rears to 13 even accross the car. the front right is 1 1/8" lower than front left and the rear right is 2" lower than rear left.

the car has a lader bar and coilover rear suspension and stock torsions up front. it launches straight but i was just wondering if the preload on my right rear tire could be causing this????

the car hasnt been on the scales yet would it be worth the time and money to get this done? and would the car be able to sit level all around if i have the car scalled?

probably needs the torsion bars adjusted. but it never hurts to scale the car and see where it is.

You would be better off having it scaled, it can be
level but not always(to get a good balance), once
its scaled set in the pre-load(with you in the seat)

I wouldn't mess with the preload if the car leaves straight.

If he changes the height.... it will change the pre-load

If it was level before you went to the track make sure to check the K-frame where the right side torsion bar mounts. I have seen many of them break the mount out of the K-frame and then the car will drop and cannot be leveled.

Here in Ohio(rust)they twist the REAR socket out of the crossmember, NOT out of the K-frame...

im pretty sure it was level before i went to the track. a quick glance underneath didnt show anything. but when i turned the right side torsion to even the car out, the left side also raised so i tried to lower the left side and that didnt really change much. and yes i bounced the front end after every adjustment.

I've had the same thing on my Duster, stock front end and laddeer bars and coil overs. I had added enough preload to caused that I ended up removing the ladder bars and readjusted the bars back to nuetral and that leveled the car The car had always gone straight until I tried to make it better by adding preload with the bars I was hoping to make the 60 ft. times better, it didn't

Mine sits that way and all four tires are scaled and goes straight. Never really cared to figure it out cause it works.

guess i will just have to take it to the scales and see what happens... but it leaves straight so i really shouldn't care.

but [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] soon as i noticed it every time i look at the car it seems to be leaning more and more its like the little dent as soon as you see it. it becomes a big deal.

If you think its preload pull one of the ladder bar front bolts out and then set it on the ground and see if sits level. If its preload the car will now sit correct. if its still uneven its probably one of the front torsion bars.

No matter what you should get the car to sit correctly with the one ladder bar disconected then put the bars on and scale it.

I agree if it was level before the race it sounds like something may have broke. I would be checking everything.
