It looks like it's going to be a perfect day for the Mopars @ Maple Grove Raceway this Saturday. It's going to be my first time racing. Any pointers ... besides go fast ???

I had a blast racing ... finally! It only took me 15+ years

The Mopar show itself was pretty crappy. It got squished in with another racing event that was already scheduled, so there were a ton of cars. We got there at 9:30, left and 1:30 and only raced the two time trials. We didn't bother staying for the elimination. My first time ever down the track and they lost my time slip .. I think I ran somewhere in the 15's. Second time down I had a little more confidence, but the Cuda bogged off the line so I lost a little time. I ran a 16.1. I need more practice . I should be able to get it to do 14's.

There were some nice Mopars at the car show. Hardly any swap meet. I guess because it was a mix of cars?

I was racing a friend of my in the Coronet in the one pic. It was a pretty good match. I had a good time regardless.

Was my old car there? 70 B3 Duster, probably running 9.70's?
