I have been having troubles with oil leaks and I am finding that the TF 240 heads are narrower than stock making stock and aftermarket valve covers hard to seal.
Anybody using these heads and what are you doing for valve covers.
I am at a loss. I've tried 3 times to get the covers to stop leaking.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I solved that problem by making my own valve covers. A cheaper option is to find a set of valve covers that actually fit. By fit, I mean the rails on the valve cover match the rails on the head. Most cast covers are made too wide so they don't line up with the rails on the head. When you tighten them down they twist the gasket and cause the leak.

Any particular reason why when you're spending big bucks on aftermarket heads they can't get the rails right?

When it takes more than a sweet mullet to prove you rule at the trailer park..

Thanks everyone.
