Well I was looking to do some practicing on a 4.10ths Pro tree. So I decided to buy into Ultra nmca West... qualified 5th out of 11 cars. We were racing in 4400 feet air and 108 degree temperatures..I was the only N/A car in the field . Which blew everyone's mind.. I want to give a special thanks to Brett Miller 4 a killer set of cylinder heads.. and justadart for all his help.. I can't believe more guys aren't doing this stuff with a Mopar

Track temperatures were way up..for sure Still had a great time. I think we went through six cases of water on Saturday... Bob can't wait to see your new car... also on another note got a chance to race Flyin Ryan's Corvette the 60 foot out of that car was amazing .I think it was like 1.13 in the heat. Al and those guys have definitely done. Their homework. I gotta get to work on my short times.... short times where it's at... i lost the trans. The crazy thing is it smells burnt but doesn't look burnt..and the pan. Had some Metal in it. But not much clutch material... looks like I'll be going through a trans this weekend...

Not saying you didn't hurt something but this transmission fluid of today has a burnt smell to it right out of the bottle.

I agree with pitsburgh on that, A lot of trans fluids today smell bad from the get go, especially the synthetic parts store stuff. Glad to see you made it out and ran a heads up class. Just with it was with us. Most the cars in NA10.5 are SB's too. Get that converter loosened up and some gear and keep chipping away. Oh yeah getting the weight down is a plus too

My best pass was in the 70s. From what I was hearing everybody was off by 2/10ths at least. I know my short times were off by a tenth

Well FWIW Vic's a two speed and Ross and Randy are both 5 speeds...All the cars have been in the low teens in 60'. All in how you gear the car, trans and rear, as well as how loose the converter or as with the growing trend the clutch works..Just saying..Oh yeah the little red car has a TF too, well kinda And if Shiloh is fat I am a piglet BTW don't need any of comments on that either
