Hi all,
I need to add a fast idle solenoid so that I can run a/c on my 440 4bbl. (it stalls now while stopped in D with the A/C running)
Most reviews of the Holley/Demon fast idle solenoids complain that they are too weak and don't work well. I am willing to cobble something together that works better.
Does anyone know of a car, truck, or even diesel solenoid that has the kick required?
I'll make the bracket.
thanks
Vic

I will give you a bump by saying that I use the Holley idle solenoid with no complaints. My idle setting is solid when the solenoid is advanced.
I run a single throttle return spring. I wonder if the dual spring setups give too much pressure for the solenoid?
No problems with mine!

Thanks, I'll be careful with the return spring.
