I have a Garlits Dixco tach and it has 3 wires ...red, white and black ,,,been awhile since I put one of these in ...can someone refresh my memory on where they connect to ? Thanks

There should be 4 wires I think, unless it doesn't have a light in it. I always use a white wire for a light. Red to a ign. and black for a ground. That leaves one other color of your choosing to the coil. I usually use green or blue for that.

How about the original Dixco instructions?...no mention of a red wire though, but other Dixco 3 wire tachs have red,black, yellow, with red to 12Volt source, black to ground, yellow to negitive on coil...
