my 340 block, 904 trans, in a 67 Satellite fit perfectly with these TTI headers.
Using the same motor mounts and headers, it seems that the drivers side header will not bolt up. The torsion bar seems to be really in the way.

Anyone have knowledge on if the motor mount needs corrected or ???

What year or engine mount is needed?

Thanks fellas

Since it has motor mounts I am assuming its a 9.56 deck height. Same heads? Is this with the motor jacked up, the instructions usually call for that.

Good Luck!
Bill

I'm not sure about the R3, but on the Ritter block I had to make a few small adjustments to the ds header (TTI 1 7/8)
Where the cylinder head meets the block, the block is wider than the head, had to tweak a couple tubes there, also the bottom row of head studs interfered in a couple spots.
Resulted in keeping the header away from the head just slightly.
It was really close to fitting, had I not mocked it up on the engine stand, I would have had a really tough time finding the interference.
This was in an a-body.
Indy heads on aluminum Ritter block.

If a beveled spacer would have fit it could have moved
the header out a bit to clear the studs and maybe some
of the other issues
EDIT
Or cut about 7/8 of the way through the tubes at the
flange and bow them out and reweld them

I had a 59* w indy heads and tti headers with motor mounts and didn't have issues other then normal pain in butt headers stuff.

I did notice that the R1 at least takes the 318 style mounts vs the 360 ones.

The solid mounts from the 340 block were perfect. I had the TTi headers on the 340 W2 motor.

This is a n R3 block with different W-2 heads. They clear the block fine. The problem is at the torsion bar, this is where the tube hits tightly.
The same motor mount on the R3 block has the drivers side tilted toward the right side and also makes the motor sit too high. It needs lowered and leveled. I am assuming a 318 mount will correct this. really not sure if i am already using a 318 mount

My R1 used a 318 mount also, I did have to weld a bolt tab on the top of the back side.

318 mounts are wider spaced (drivers side) than 340-360 mounts, otherwise the same.
