would like opinions on whether my combo will pick up
currently runnin 266/272 .623/.595 flat tappet
4400 stall 9.5 inch converter
3200 Dart
508 RB stroker
cnc ported EZ's
1050 Dominator
12-1 comp.
4.30 gears
29.5x 10.5 wide slicks
9.92 /136 60 foot 1.44
cam above was speced for 11-1 comp ended up 12-1 and the above converter which was from my old 440 combo
was looking at comp mm305s flat tappet which has 279/287 dur.and 8 inch 5500 stall converter
car is drag race only

That combo should pick your car up a fair amount. The motor is somewhat head limmited, and a looser converter is needed if it truly only stalls to 4400 rpm. I would be happy with a 5000+ stall unit in that combo, shooting for about 1200 rpm below shift points, which should be about 6600? That would put desired stall at about 5400 roughly.

unless you have a good enough suspension to hook the 10.5 tires you could very well blow them off with the new converter. if you hook you should see a nice gain.
