Looking to get a new battery for the race car. I've had good success with Mopar Performance batteries in the past, but they have really went up in price like all others as well. I do run a Chrysler alternator but use an electric fuel and water pump along with an electric fan. I was looking at optima's but are they that much better? Which one would be best? The car is purely race, but has all factory wiring with the addition of a MSD 6AL box and the other electric components above. I do try to charge the battery before each race day as well to make sure it's good for those late rounds on those hot days. A battery is for starting the engine.... the alt makes the power to run all the stuff so you better have a good alt or get a bigger one and make sure the wiring is up to it EDIT I buy my battery from Costco
