I made my own out of 3/16" wall 1"x2" tubing, and tied my main hoop into the as well.

I would have preferred larger dimensional material, but when you consider what youre welding it to, I dont think theres a need for bigger. Also, it fits tight to the floor without having to cut it, and they arent visible from the side of the car.

Good luck with yours.

OK, mine's a "A" body, but I used 3/16" thick
2"x3" square tubing and my main hoop also tie into it.
It butts up against the floor nice and tight.

Let me clear up a little what Im asking. Since the 73 up b bodies use the differnt k frame, isolator stuff, does anybody make a prefabbed connector? If not, any pics on how you fabbed your own?

Thanks

Sorry Von, don't have any pics but what I did on my '74 was to use 2X3 tubing and connect the vertical wall of the front sub frame to the vertical wall of the rear sub frame. To do this we had to cut out a section of the floor and weld the connector into the floor. Some of the connector will protrude into the rear floor pan but it connects the whole car together and is really strong.

I can blow your mind how I was able to get rid of the rear torsion bar X-member and use the early model b-body torsion bars if you like. (Might have pictures of this somewhere)

Someone sent me a PM about the torsion bar cross member elimination, but like an idiot, I erased it by accident. I'll try to post picks as soon as I find them.
