The original gas cap used on the Challenger flip-top gas caps were not vented. Perhaps there's a vented cap that fits and is vented. However, another option is to drill a small hole in your existing cap for venting. I did this on my Challenger flip top gas cap (I used an aftermarket locking gas cap) and it works fine.

What size hole did you drill?

IIRC the 70 Challenger gas cap is non vented, unless N95 equipped, and 71 up are pressure/vacuum rated caps which allows for suction and vapor release at the cap depending on the tanks volume/pressure/siphoning in a round about way "vented"?

I can't recall exactly however, it's small hole, like a 5/64" or 3/32". Unless you looked, you wouldn't even notice it. You can always increase the opening if you need to.

Some of them had to vented. I own two Sixpack 70 Challengers and they are both flip top gas caps and N-95 California cars.

Both cars have locking gas caps under the flip tops. Was this the solution for N-95 cars? I don't know but the gas tanks require a vented cap.
