Ok, so who is selling a correct sending unit for a 1970 Duster these days?

This one is from Firestone collectibles (ebay) and was not a low budget price. Not even close to the shape of the cleaned up original in the pic and doesn't fit either.

Scott. I got a Spectra Premium from Rock auto for a 68 big block dart 3/8 pick up and it bench tested within the factory specs. Don't know if they do your year or not

None. All seem to have the same source or component parts.

Pick up is higher than stock as it doesn't sit parallel and close to tank floor. Runs out of gas with about 3-4 gallons fuel still in tank. Ratio is goof too with that short float arm. E and F occur at the appropriate times. What happens in between is comical.

I bought mine from these guys and it works good. Call them instead of ordering from their website.

Scott, I found a NOS unit at Carlisle last year. The pricey repro unit I purchased first was a complete waste of money.

I'd gladly buy an NOS one if someone has one to sell. Go ahead, gauge me, I need one! smile

Maybe, I soaked it in Evaporust and soda blasted it but it's still pretty crusty/pitted up.

Is the wrong style, and that is the style that ALL reproductions look like.

Thanks John but that is the same style as the repro as well. Look at my first pic, the original is the longer one at the top. I cleaned it up and reused it with a new float and sock. I haven't filled it up yet so don't know if the gauge works or not yet but the car runs on the couple gallons of gas that I put in to get it started.

you may want to check the rubber seal where the wire connects. The rubber sometimes breaks down mainly due to the cheap alcohol gas
