Hello,

I was hoping to get a recommendation for a good shop to take my 1970 Chrysler Newport for A.C. work. Any good shops in or near Massachusetts?

Thank you,
Paul

There should be shops closer to you but they will want to convert you to R134a if you haven't been already. R12 is expensive.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

There exists a r12 compat legal look alike. Likely others exist.

Would be a bit concerned about comment on flammability.

Never have used. I do however have a 3/4 full 30 # tank of r12. No not for sale.

Am about to reseal A6 compressor on my 71 Vette so have been doing some research myself.

It currently does not work. I am looking for a reputable shop that will give it to me straight and do good work.
I would like to keep it original. However, I am not opposed to converting to a modern system.

Thanks,
Paul
