At 3200+ lbs. it went 6.21 in the 1/8th on my 9.79 pass. Now maybe I didn't make myself clear but my 6.20 111.7 in the summer heat 2 years ago was w/the car lighter and w/out the 2nd battery I ran on my 9.79 but not the shock change to a more vertical position.........

I was three or four clicks Less to get the car to plant the tire after relocating the shocks.. and everybody should keep in mind this is basically a no prep test and tune street legal truck.. they put VHT on it one time at 4:30 in the afternoon. And that's it

He lost his brakes so its a no go for tonight
Brakes are for quitters! LOL I lost my brakes once..thank GOD it was on a 1/8 mile pass but even then I rolled the last turn off at about 30 MPH and ran off into the weeds... there were people on the return road that thought I was some A$$ hole being STUPID.. they had a few words to say..until I told them... sorry.. lost my brakes.. that was the only time that I didnt pull the safety pin on my chute... I hit the chute lever and NOTHING... but that was a scary ride for a bit.. I was racing a young lady in the other lane and when I started going back and forth to scrub off speed she figured there was a problem and she got out of my way and I used both lanes to scrub off speed.. thanks to her for getting out of the way... I was doing over 120 when I hit the brakes for the first time Ray
P-body. Smart move. We often talk, yack and complain on many boards about why people do not pull over to the wall when things break and or leak, but no one talks about the Amen corner tactics to do when some thing goes wrong. That in itself would be a good productive thread.
Thanks for sharing because I never thought about scrubbing off speed by zig zagging and of course when permitting within reason. You were lucky to have a savvy Gal next to you. I only have lifted when my car has gotten drunk and nothing more.
I'm one of those, "lift now and give your self a gift" LOL... I tried to make that track as long as possible before I hit that last turn off.. and it was a TIGHT 180 turn... yes she was a savvy lady(and good looking)..I went and thanked her after I got back to my pit spot... she said she didnt understand why I was going back and forth but she figured she would get the hell out of the way... when I told what happened she understood why I was zig-zagging

Better to see, plan and prevent the Whoa, then to concentrate too much on the go-a.
Glad he caught the brake issue before the catch net caught him.
I tend to remember, that as these things go fast and faster, so does Murphy's Law on your perimeter. This 1/8 th mile track is in a shared parking lot w/a NASCAR track and has a very short shut down w/no grass but a concrete barrier so if you cant stop your car is junk. Next time I post will be AFTER I get back not a before post and hopefully SOON if not, then at the end of the year after the heat spell. Sixpackgut and I were talking last night about how Eddy(Elvis)Miller kept posting on here about getting his 7-second pass at Drag Week and that it took 3 years to finally happen so hey, I`ve still got almost a year.............
