Ok, a buddy put a shift kit in my 904and he knows what hes doing great around cars and used the rubber gasket for the pan.The pan is flat, but its leaking,i can see right were its leaking 1 spot.I like the cork gasket,is there a sealer that is transmission fluid friendly to use with the cork.Thanks.

You might want to try the newer mopar gasket 4295875AC. They seem to work pretty well. I never liked cork to be honest.

You mentioned the pan was straight. The flange on steel pans can distort from uneven tightening. Over-tightening the bolts will result in the flange pushing in around the bolt, causing an uneven surface. It extremely important that the flange be flat. The gasket recommended by mopar4ever is as good as they get. I gave up on the steel pans years ago and went with the cast aluminum pans but they're expensive. Whether it's worth it or not depends on your frustration level.

One thing you can check is to see if sealer or any other crap is in the bolts holes. Sometimes the bolts feel tight but they are really bottoming out on the sealer. Ask me how I know. blush

Same thing happened to a friend and he was at a total loss as what to do. He shoewed me the pan, and it was very evident it had been over tightened and the distortion from the bolts and washers. I told him it could be an easy fix and used a dolly and hammer and worked the pan flange flat and he reinstalled and it does not leak a drop. Maybe yours will be this easy. beer
