I would like to put a 383 motor in my A100 swb van I have and auto trans from a A108 van will change it over to the bb case. I was wondering if there is a motor mount that works or am I going to have to make some? And how well do they fit in the dog house area?

Thanks

I have seen an A100 with a 426 hemi in the stock location so a 383 ought to be a bit more straight forward.

I know where there is a van with a 413 in it, and used to own one with a 426 wedge. Seems to me you just use 61-71 Sweptline truck motor mounts. Here are some pics of it. I don't think the engine cover fits real well with an RB in it... tsk

Dog house will not fit without some serious modifications.

By the looks of the seat brackets, the doghouse cover isn't the only thing that won't fit with some major modifications, add seat brackets, floor pan, throttle and trans shift linkage, exhaust and cooling system for starters. The A100s were designed for slant 6 motors, when the added a 318, things got real crowded. An RB is almost 2x the width of the slant 6, at the exhaust manifold location, which happens to line up with the A100 floor pan.

Probably the main reason why the Little Red Wagon had its 426 mounted in the box. Less space limitations. Gene

Nice A100! Bet that is a hot ride (both from the engine heat, and from the power level).

That's one I would like to get up close and see how they did it. Does it drive, or is it a "Show piece"? Gene
