We finally got the Mopar powered mustang to the track last weekend and on the first hit we went a new personal best of 5.09 @138 weighing 2920. That was the first hit since we wrecked it last Nov. They shut the ticket machine down after our first hit. I am sure wet much faster than that as the day went on,. as we ended 9
jet sizes smaller by the end of the day. 565 inches and 1 carb na!
Factory suspension front and rear , and 26 x 235's.

Think its a "prototype" head based off a 600-13..But what do I know. Hope to see the car in NA 10.5 later this year when we run Chicago and Norwalk...

Nice pics Chuck. Looks like you had to modify the crank trigger bracket slightly to get it to line up. I'll have to check into that, maybe the hub length was different than what I assumed.

I gave the head to Indy, You are right it is based on the 600-13x 4.840 bore space. It will fit on any of the old 600-13 blocks. Indy has heads in stock. Goodwin competition does the porting, the production heads will be better than this version with an improved exhaust port.
Best has hit a home run on this engine it makes big hp, turns high rpm, and it is easy to race. I think it is the best wedge head out there. I made a swing and missed with the hemi motor, this one is a home run.

He is referring to the gen 2 4.840 bore space Hemi prototype, it made a lot of power but never showed it on the track
