Either way I still think you need to replace it and most likely adjust it after you replace it. ohiojohn member O Joined: May 2016 Posts: 1 Ohio (OH)	hello everyone ,i am new here and have owned my 92 since 96 and have had vss go bad several times, when one of them went bad speedo worked fine but od would not work at all. another went bad and speedo quit and od worked fine. yet another went bad and od would shift erratic. the last time i had one go bad it looked like it had plastic melted inside of it so when i installed the new one i put a drop of trans fluid in it and that has been close to ten years.

Thanks again for all of your help on this Mr. Jones. If you ever get up to this neck of the woods lunch is on me!
