So i have a early 70's 727 and a 2000 5.9 magnum what torque converter to use so i can use magnum flex plate .haven't found a torque converter that fits old 727 (into the frt pump)and still bolts to magnum flex plate . i really need help on this if anyone out there has an idea

You need to elongate(round file) one of the holes in the flex plate to match your torque converter. Be sure your torque converter is neutral balance (not weighted for external balanced engine).

The converter didn't go to a symmetric bolt pattern until '96 so a flexplate from a '95 or earlier 5.9 Magnum would still have the 727 bolt pattern.

The '95 and earlier 5.9 Magnum flexplate didn't have the balance weight on the flexplate, it was on the torque converter. I think '96 was first year for the weight being on the flexplate and also when torque converter bolt pattern was changed.
