1964 dodge dart convertible when i got the car it worked ok now it wont go up or down ? can here motor running was wondering if there is a place to put fuild in ? and were is it ? its about like the hydraulic jack when it gets low on fuild .thanks for any help

Yes the pump has a tank in it and you add hydraulic fluid. It will be behind the rear seat. There should be a plug in the side of the tank. Do an online search for the procedure for fill and bleeding a convertible top motor. While you are working on it check for leaking lines or pistons.

if you don't see fluid leaking somewhere behind the seat, then the pump gave up the ghost and probably needs a rebuild.
I have had one go bad like that before.

up till the 90 lebaron's the pumps were the same however, so you should be able to swap out one of those.

You should have the pistons retracted, ie top down before you fill.
if you over fill you can rupture stuff.
