ok so i just recently got a 09 Chally. with 6spd man.and 5.7 R/T. with 92000 miles, i know where i can get a very low milage 9000 mile wrecked but running Ram 1500 5.7 with automatic, i know the ram has the mds and different accessories and intake and pan But can it be fairly easily adapted into the Chally which does not have mds, but has a manual tranny ? anybody done it or know ?

You'd have to swap out the MDS lifters. I also think there subtle differences in a MDS cam and a non MDS cam (think I read it's in the ramps on the cylinders that shut off) but they spec out the same. I can't see how it would be to tough to use. Perfect time to stick in a 6.4 SRT cam
Edit: I should expand on this more as the 09 engine is non MDS as its a 6 spd, the truck engine is MDS though, that's why you have to swap out MDS lifters

Every 09+ hemi is a VVT engine.

My 09 Challenger six speed had no MDS, I am not sure when the 6 speed received it but I am thinking 2011?

Thank you

Not sure if this is pertinant to this but I found the tops of the regular and mds lifters are different. So a new plastic lifter holder from a non-mds engine will be needed when swapping them out.
