I've had issues with bad diesel fuel recently, dirty and water in it. My truck, 2006 Ram 3500 4 whd, has 126,000 miles on it now and it isn't getting as good as fuel mileage as it did before having the fuel issues twice in the last year help What brand of new injectors, besides Mopar, are good, and is there any shops that are good at rebuilding the original injectors? I use the truck as my daily driver 96% of the time and tow a 24 ft 8600 lb enclose car trailer with a drag car in it a little each year, under 5000 miles. Thanks in advance: Cab

New Bosch is the only way to go. Do NOT use reman injectors. Put a 2 micron fuel filter setup on at the same time you replace them. Clean fuel is the absolute key to making them survive. There are many places to get brand new injectors. Take a look at injectorsdirect.com. They have very competitive pricing and offer good service.

Thanks for the help thumbsI see that Summit sells Delphi and Uremco injectors with a core charge so I'm assumig thier rebuilt confused I drive this truck empty 98.0 to 99.5% of the time so fuel mileage is more important to me than pulling power is, it has a little over 125,000 trouble free miles on it now so maybe it is time to give it some new parts thumbs I treid to look up the company you suggested and thier web site is not active according to the search site I used work I did eventually find some other links that showed their location and phone number so maybe I will give them a try thumbs

Bosch - https://www.boschautoparts.com/en/auto/diesel-parts/genuine-oe-injectors
This gives you the part number and can show you where to buy them.

Rockauto shows a bunch of remanufactured ones, the two I would trust would be Delphi and Standard Motor Products. Delphi is an offshoot of Delco and builds a whole lot of high quality stuff. I'd be surprised if they couldn't remanufacture a fuel injector. For $407 each they had better be good!
Standard Motor Products has been around forever and builds high quality stuff as long as you stay in their premium lines.

I picked up new (not reman) Bosch injectors for my CTD last year. When I was shopping at that time, I found the best deal and got good help from these folks:

http://dieselautopower.com/

I think everyone wants your cores whether you buy new or reman injectors as they are worth $$$.

I put the Cat filters setup on mine a couple months back. This setup has the water separator too. Kit has everything you need to install right in front of tank. Took about two hours because I was laying on floor, $250 free shipping. Injector might wear out but won't go bad because of dirt now.
Cummins recommends these 2 micron filters but can't come out and say it, then they would be liable instead of FCA. What I read.
Also it voids your warranty (you made changes to the truck) even on a non related issue.

I should add I have a 06 3500 4/4 too. The issues, 20,000 miles, new ball joints and need them again. 45,000 miles, trans bad, front clutches wiped. Changed the sol valve on vb and changed front band lever to a 4.2 was 5.0. So far so good. Heater box flappers broke, not fixed yet (have to pull whole dash out). Leaking back sliding glass. Steering box wore out now, they make a support kit that I haven't bought yet. U-joints wiped at 95,000. AC stopped working, haven't found the problem yet probably have to go to dealer to put on computer. Throttle position switch bad, ordered. Put those filters on to save the injectors (which are $500 each). Hope I remembered everything, 104,000 miles. Tires lasted 98,000 miles replaced last summer. Oh yeah, back door glass just broke by itself about a year ago. But it's the best riding-driving-powerful Dodge I've ever owned.

I bought new Bosch injectors and tubes at 110,000 or so. I bought them online at a place that sold new ones and highly recommended new ones. If you can't find new ones, pm me and I'll dig up the paperwork for you.

I maintain a small fleet of diesel trucks at work and run my own diesel fuel as we are a fuel company. We sell and run treated premium on road diesel and have good luck with injectors. They last 250-300,000 city miles on average. That is like 12000-16000 hours because our trucks sit still and run pto s for our fuel pumps when we are delivering fuel to customers. We have no special filtering on any of our trucks. We run fords, internationals, chevys and freightliners. Have cummins in our freightliners.

When I replace injectors I use Diesel Injection Service and use rebuilt injectors. Have never had a problem with there injectors and have never wore out a rebuilt injector because the truck wears out before the second set of injectors wear out.
Diesel Injection Service is a national company I believe. That is who I recommend.

I put injectors in my 05 at 115,000. I was having trouble with them and did not want it to go completely out and flood a cly and take out the motor. I bought new injectors at the price of remans. I forgot the name of the company but it is easily found online and they really recommend new injectors over rebuilt ones. They do want your cores back. I put in the Fast filtration and pump system on mine and it runs fine now. I did it myself. The back two are pretty tough.

I had my truck worked on by a local diesel shop and they found one bad injector and replace it. The first tank of fuel after the work went up to 16.5 MPG empty combination driving town and road boogie Since then around town only driving (2 tanks)has averaged 14.5 MPG like it had done until that injector got hurt by bad fuel runaway

Cab, if you have had to replace one injector, I'd be getting prepared to replace the other 5. You have to understand they have been subjected to the same amount of run time and fuel quality or lack there of. Do yourself a favor and buy NEW Bosch ones, NOT remans. They will not last...Period. I have a diesel shop and Dodge Cummins is our specialty. We quit installing remans at my shop due to the comebacks. I have gotten reman injectors from several different vendors (some very well known with the diesel crowd) with the same results. They might last a year or so but before you know it, you'll be right back where you started from. Low quality injectors in a HPCR Cummins can get expensive in a hurry. My $.02.

I agree. I replaced mine with all new Bosch injectors and a fast filtration and pump 30,000 miles ago and have had no more problems so far.
