Anyone ever make the hood scoop on a 73-74 RR function? I have looked through all of the pictorials and posts and couldn't come up with any positive results. If anyone has ever done it, I'd like to know what they did. The Plastic Inserts look cool and all, but...

They look like crap taken out but thats the way I run them. Keeps engine happy with cold air, and I run a 195 stat. They unbolt very easily. You can just remove the pot metal insert but it will not get the air taking the whole thing out will achieve

That would work, thanks. I was actually thinking of modifying some to work and keeping the originals in the event that it didn't work. If you can all tell, I'm in the planning stage right now I have a ram CAI intake from Volant on my Ram that works well, I was thinking of something like that as well.
