I don't think this is what you looking for but here's the only picture I have. We used some 1/8 steel plates to mount to the frame and we put a top on it so I can still use the floor space to store stuff.

I have mine mounted in the bottom of a cabinet on the other side of the wall, you can see the hook at the wall, the button is hanging there

anyone got any more pics of side mounted winches?
Sorry no pic, it was on my last trailer. I had the winch mounted to the floor (on the side) then had a 5/8" ID tube mounted to a cross bar(under the trailer) that was flush with the floor. On the cable I had a pulley with a 5/8"rod welded to the bracket on the pulley... drop the pulley in the hole and I was ready

Well I could show a picture but would be nothing to see. My S5000 Superwinch is simply bolted up in the front of my trailer under the cabinet. Just the hook sticking out when in. We used a piece of 1/4" steel under the floor as a large "washer" so to speak.

I would have to unload trailer to show you what I have.
My trailer floor is engineered structural alluminum. This is really the only way my deal will work is on steel or alluminum floor.
I use my winch. When I am through I can remove the winch and unplug and put away in the cabinet. It is a 3500 lb winch not a cheapo. When I need it again plug the cord back into the connector and slip the winch back on its mount.
There is no real tripping hazard when it is removed. The only thing sticking up out of the floor is the heads of two large carriage bolts. Everone who has seen this has flipped out.
If I ever get the time I am going to make a bunch and sell them. The plan was to make these and sell them to Exiss the manufacturer of my trailer. They have put their focus back into the horse business. So not much to get into as far as car trailer accessories with them.

I needed to be able to drive a golf cart over the winch. I looked into making a box beneath the floor to house the winch. Putting the winch off to the side did not suit me either.
That's why I machined a plate with key holes in it that the winch attaches to. Then there is a plate beneath the floor that is threaded for the carriage bolts that thread in from the top. In then welded the plate to the crossmembers beneath the floor.
I cramed a lot into a 40 ft gooseneck. Car, golf cart and a full living quarters. Not to mention storage to completely rebuild the engine at the track along with a toolbox capable of handling tools to do so. The trailer is so tightly packed I had to come up with a place to house the two spare tires. They are mounted behind the rear axle much like the spare on a newer pickup truck.
