Can anyone tell me what I can interchange between a 1967 to 1972 k frame and the 73 up k frame. Thanks

Not sure what you are asking. Are you asking "what bolts to the 67-72 K frame that will also bolt to a 73 and up K frame"?

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.

LCA and strut rods interchange as does the steering box and torsion bars. The pitman arm, idler arm and center link do not interchange. If you have a 67-72 K and are looking to use a 73 K the motor mounts 73 up are spool mount. The whole brake scenario will depend on what you want to use for spindles as to whether you also need upper control arms. shruggy

Lets not forget the 67 idler arm is different as the 67 k-frame has a single mount point while the 68-up has the idler sandwiched between two mounts. Everything will interchange if you use the correct early or later parts in combination.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

I will clarify I need to know if the a arms torsion bars and drag link off a 73 k frame will work on a 70 k frame. I want to use disc brakes and a arms off 73 on a 70. Thanks for the help

control arms - yes

torsion bars - yes

drag link - it's called a center link and usually doesn't need to be swapped as it's a non-wear item but if you use the corresponding 73 and up idler and pitman arm then yes.

The center link swaps over if the Idler, Pitman and tie rods are all from either 68-72 or 73-76.
Torsion bars and upper control arms fit from 1960 to 1976 ! The only difference is that cars with 10" drums up front or 73-76 Disc brakes use a different UCA with the bigger upper ball joint.

Certain sets of parts can interchange on their own.

There are 3 k-members: 67, 68-72, and 73-76. 67 is on its own because it take a one year only idler arm

There are 3 steering linkage systems

67-72 centerlink, 67-72 pitman, small output 72-down power steering box, and 67 idler all together can only fit 67 k-member.

68-72 centerlink, 67-72 pitman, small output 72-down power steering box, 68-72 idler all together can interchange between 68-72 k-member or 73-76 k

73-76 centerlink, 73-76 pitman, large output 73-up power steering box, 73-76 idler all together can interchange between 68-72 k-member or 73-76 k

There are 2 disk brake systems

67-72 Kelsey Hayes 4 piston disks. 67-72 small diameter upper ball joint upper control arms, 67-72 disk brake ball joint spindles. Will bolt to any 66-76 lower control arm and only 66-72 upper control arms.(excluding 9" drum brake cars)

73-76 single piston slider type disks. 73-76 large ball joint upper control arms, 73-76 lower disk brake ball joint, and spindles. Will bolt to any 66-76 lower control arm and 73-76 upper control arms (excluding 9" drum brake cars).

The above steering linkage OR brake systems can be swapped between each other on either 68-72 k-member OR 73-76 k-member.

Only 73-76 cars used the large upper ball joint.
